Overview

A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Business Analyst.

This role sits within the organisation’s first line of defence against financial crime, supporting initiatives that strengthen governance, improve processes, and enhance the use of data and analytics to detect and prevent illicit activity.

You will work across multiple business and technology teams, translating complex operational and regulatory requirements into clear, structured solutions that improve how financial crime risks are managed.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis and Requirements
Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements
Translate stakeholder needs and data insights into actionable recommendations
Develop clear functional and non functional specifications and user stories

Process and Governance Improvement

Lead process mapping initiatives and create detailed process documentation and SOPs
Identify opportunities for operational improvement and stronger governance frameworks
Ensure proposed solutions align with regulatory and quality standards

Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with senior stakeholders across business, technology, and financial crime teams
Facilitate workshops and discussions to align on the best business solutions
Manage expectations and communicate delivery progress clearly

Project Delivery

Support and lead project delivery activities using Agile practices
Coordinate cross functional initiatives and ensure projects are delivered on time
Drive collaboration across business and technology teams

Experience Required

4 plus years experience working as a Business Analyst
Proven experience gathering and analysing complex business requirements
Strong experience supporting project or programme delivery
Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience producing process documentation and structured business analysis artefacts
Comfort working in data driven environments and interpreting business insights
